Anyone else standing in front of the open fridge at 11 PM after a long ride? Apparently it's common enough to get its own study. The Cycling Week headline points to a new 2026 trial on 35 cyclists that tackles why the late night raid happens.

I don't think the fix is white knuckling it. Riding burns energy, so being hungry afterward makes sense. What helps me is having a real plate ready before I head out, like a cooked potato with beans or a turkey wrap, so the fridge isn't my only option when I walk in tired.
